This is for the Buschwhack Bar & Grill, next to the lodge. We finally had an opportunity to try the new cheeseburger added to the menu. I was very impressed. The burger was thick and juicy. Well cooked without being dry. The bun was fresh as were the vegetables. Of course we ordered a Paloma from the bar and it was great. I see a few more of these in our future!
Good experience all round. Laid back ambiance. Service was friendly and timely. The Paloma was excellent. The chicken fajita salad was big and tasty. Price was on par.
Pros: New flooring, rugs, drapes, bedding, subway tile in shower, sink, fixtures; all cute and updated. Suggestions to owner/management: Need a couple of towel bars in bathroom and hooks in room. Provide a bath mat to step out on after a shower and provide a box of tissues. Better train housekeeping. The base of the toilet and sink were filthy. Walls and baseboard in bathroom need a thorough wiping down. Dead bugs near the light/ceiling in the bathroom.
The lodge is warm and comfortable . Towels , and rooms are clean . I would stay there again . Thank you!
Awesome food and great staff ready to keep you hydrated and bellies full.. tacos nachos quesadillas and cold drinks great place to stop
We had a wonderful stay! The location truly can't be beat, the rooms are cute and very comfortable. An up and coming destination in Lake City!
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was a bit of a problem. The stay overall was good except for the sheriff writing me a ticket for not stopping at a stop sign that I never saw and still don’t know what stop sign he is talking about. Tourism is the lifeline of Lake City, Colorado. And the sheriff is cutting his own throat as well as businesses. I will never return to Lake City Colorado again.
